TAME Contest Season Update 0-4 Year Eligibility & Advancement Information

Hello Directors!

We hope this message finds you well, and we are excited to welcome you to this year’s TAME Region Contests. 

We would like to share some important updates regarding eligibility and participation for the Emerging Division (0–4 Years):

Programs participating in the High School Emerging Division (0–4 Years) are eligible to advance to the State Contest on April 30th. To qualify at the high school level, directors may choose one of the following options:

• Perform in person at the Region Contest, or

• Submit a video by the delegated Area submission deadline.

In addition, all high school ensembles—regardless of division—who earn a Division I rating at Region will automatically advance to the 2025 TAME State Mariachi Festival.

Please note that the Middle School 0–4 Year Emerging Division will remain in-person only, and middle school ensembles will receive division ratings at Region.

Attached you will find the scoresheet used to adjudicate all categories in the Area Contest. We hope this provides clarity as you prepare your students for the upcoming events.
